This lidded container was hand-turned by Rafe from red alder sourced in North Vancouver, BC.
The wood has a soft, pale cream tone with gentle movement through the grain. It’s a quieter piece, with a smooth, balanced shape that sits comfortably in the hand.
The lid and base were shaped from the same piece of wood, allowing the grain to flow naturally through the form when closed.
Finished with food-grade polymerized linseed oil and pure, locally sourced 100% beeswax from BC, bringing out the natural character of the wood while keeping it safe for everyday use.
A simple piece for small, meaningful things such as jewellery, herbs, or kept as part of a space.
