Hand Turned in British Columbia

This one-of-a-kind lidded vessel carries a remarkable story within its grain.

The wood comes from a Big leaf Maple that once grew in Vancouver’s Stanley Park, salvaged more than forty years ago by a local arborist and woodworker who helped care for and restore the park’s trees. Rather than being discarded, this beautiful maple was carefully saved waiting patiently for the right hands to transform it.

Four decades later, the wood has been hand-turned into a sculptural vessel, revealing the flowing grain and warm character that only time can create.

Finished with polymerized pure linseed oil and a final coat of organic BC-sourced beeswax, the surface is smooth, natural, and completely food safe.

Perfect as a keepsake container, tea or herb vessel, jewelry box, or small altar piece.
