This bowl was hand-turned by Rafe from ash wood sourced from Vancouver Island. It has a lighter tone than some of the other pieces, with a soft warmth that comes through in natural light.
The grain runs clean and even through the form, with a small natural marking that gives it its own character without taking over the piece.
Each bowl is shaped on the lathe, allowing the wood to guide the final form. No two are the same, and this one carries its own balance in the grain and shape.
Finished with food-grade polymerized linseed oil and pure, locally sourced beeswax from BC, it has a smooth, natural feel and is safe for everyday use.
A simple, functional piece that can be used daily or kept as part of a space.
