Spalted maple Lidded Vessel

A beautiful hand-turned lidded vessel made from spalted maple from Langley, BC.

This piece has a warm, organic shape with beautiful natural grain, subtle figuring, and the unique markings that make spalted wood so special. Measuring approximately 4 inches high and 4.5 inches wide, it is a lovely size for holding jewellery, small treasures, herbs, salt, or other small keepsakes.

Each piece is turned by hand by Rafe, making every vessel one of a kind. The natural colour variation, spalting, and grain patterns are part of what make each piece unique.

Finished with polymerized linseed oil and beeswax, this vessel has a natural food-safe finish that protects the wood while bringing out its warmth and character.
